Biography
Dr. Ghantous joined the US Food and Drug Administration as a pharmacology/toxicology reviewer in 2001, and since 2007 she has been the Pharmacology/Toxicology supervisor at the Division of Antiviral Products, Center for Drug Evaluation and Research. Dr. Ghantous has presented at national and international scientific and regulatory meetings, has served on several US FDA committees, has been involved in writing Guidance documents and has represented the Agency at various public forums. Before coming to FDA, Dr. Ghantous worked for approximately 10 years at the DuPont Company. She has been a member of the Society of Toxicology since 1989 and the American College of Toxicology since 2000. She served on the Continuing Education Committee of the Society of Toxicology (2010–2013). Dr. Ghantous is one of the founders of the Biotechnology Specialty Section and served as a VP- elect, VP, President and past president of the specialty section (2010-2013). She also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the American Board of Toxicology (2010–2014) and was the president of the board for 2013-2014. She also served on council of the American College of Toxicology (2011-2013) and is the president of the American College of Toxicology (2015-2016). Dr. Ghantous received a B.Sc. in Pharmacy from the University of Baghdad, Iraq, an M.Sc. in Pharmacology from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland and a PhD in Toxicology from the University of Uppsala, Sweden. She was a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Anesthesiology, University of Arizona, and received her board certification as a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology (DABT) in 1995. Dr. Ghantous has over 20 years of combined experience in general and regulatory toxicology and has published pier reviewed scientific papers and book chapters.

Biography
Prof. Tsatsakis is currently the President of the Federation of European Toxicologists and European Societies of Toxicology (EUROTOX) and President of the Hellenic Society of Toxicology. He is the Chairman of the Hellenic ERT - HST national Registry and member of several Scientific Academies and Societies. He has cooperated with key national and international organizations such as WHO-IPCS, National Drug Authority, has received the Inter Res Prom Council, IRPC 2001, eminent scientist gold award. He is Emeritus Professor for the Erisman Russian Federal Institute of Hygiene and Toxicology in Moscow (2014) and Honorary Doctor of the Mendeleev Moscow University in Russia (2016). He has organized as president several international Congresses in the field of toxicology and forensic science among them the EUROTOX2008 in Rhodes Greece. He is also the president of the international BIONANOTOX conferences during 2009 to 2016. He is the inspirator and founder and current president of the high- tech knowledge and research university spin-off Company ToxPlus S.A. Professor Aristidis Michael Tsatsakis is the Director of the Department of Toxicology and |Forensic Sciences of the Medical School at the University of Crete and the University Hospital of Heraklion. He is teaching the toxicology course for medical students for 30 years and specialization toxicology topics for postgraduate programs in few universities and supervised numerous PhDs. He received his PhD in Chemistry from Mendeleev University in Moscow 1986 and defended the title of Doctor of Science in Biology in University of Friendship of Nations in Moscow 2004. Prof Tsatsakis has written over 360 peer reviewed publications in prestigious journals, is holder of several patents and has given numerous lecturers as keynote and plenary speaker in international congresses.
Research Interest
The main research interests of Dr Tsatsakis are biomonitoring of various xenobiotics in a variety of biological samples and linking of chemical chronic exposure at low doses with health problems and diseases, and risk assessments.
Biography
Professor Wojciech Wasowicz (PhD), full professor at Nofer Institute of Occupational Medicine. Head of the Biological and Environmental Monitoring Department, he has a background in biochemistry, analytical chemistry and toxicology. Wide experience with toxicology of metals and its interactions with microelements, oxidative stress markers, and antioxidant enzymes. The next field of interest is potential protective role of some antioxidants against chemicals. Experience in engineered nanomaterials, nanoparticles and health effect of nanoparticles. Reviewer in a few Polish periodicals related to toxicology and biochemistry and scientific grants reviewer in Polish Scientific Research Committee. Prof. W. Wasowicz shows great scientific activity confirmed by numerous publications, grants awarded by realization of scientific plan, and active participation in symposia, conferences and scientific meetings organized in Poland (Polish Society of Toxicology) and abroad (EUROTOX, IUTOX), and has given numerous lecturers as keynote and plenary speaker in international congresses. He attended (as a supervisor or member of scientific team) international projects financially supported by United Europe (Phare, Inco-Copernicus, 5th Frame Programme 6th Frame Programme, Horizon 2020 ). He is a member of Polish MAK Value Expert Commission, and a member of OECD expert in Working Party on Manufactured Nanomaterials. a coordinator of Polish Center of Trace Element Institute for UNESCO, and since 2008 he is a President of Polish Society of Toxicology. Prof. Wasowicz’s work has hitherto resulted in 170 scientific papers published mainly in journals of international recognition (2000 citation).
Research Interest
The main focus of his research lies in the field on trace elements (mainly Se, Zn, Cu) metabolism and trace elements dependent enzymes activities in physiology and some pathological conditions in animals and humans.
